![]() However, it works fine if the laptop is on the same private network as the PC (so RDP normally works ok). When the laptop is connected to a separate cellular connection and is NOT on the private network, any attempts to connect Remote Desktop to the PC’s internal IP ( 192.168.1.2) time out. I also see the laptop listed under Devices in the Zero Trust team. The WARP client shows that everything is connected ok on the Connectivity tab of the Preferences window. Authentication was done via a one-time PIN sent through email. In the account settings of the WARP client, I logged into Cloudflare Zero Trust using the same Team Name I used when setting up the tunnel (i.e. Installed the WARP client on a Windows 11 laptop that will be the RDP client. The tunnel in Zero Trust shows that the Connector on the PC is connected and the tunnel has a status of “Healthy”. Installed cloudflared on my home Windows 11 PC that will be the RDP server.I also set the Private Network to 192.168.1.0/24, which is my home network. In the Zero Trust “Settings” page under “General”, the “Team Domain” is set to (something like). I'll compare them to mine and I'll see if there is something I'm missing.Īlso, if you have Vista 圆4 SP2, that'll help a lot too.ĮDIT- I have also uninstalled and reinstalled VMware 6.5 but it hasn't fixed anything at all.I’m trying to use Remote Desktop with WARP following the instructions on this page:Ĭonnect to Remote Desktop through Cloudflare Tunnel If anyone, and I mean anyone, that has gotten VMware Workstation to work properly and connect properly in WoW, or any other online game in VMware Workstation, could you please tell me the setup you are using to get it working? I tried manually setting an IP address to VMnet 8 and give it the same subnet and gateway as my physical NIC, but got a warning about having two NICs on the same subnet/gateway. I tried to bridge both adapters, but that didn't work either and got a warning about it. My Gigabit ethernet adapater says "Access to Local and Internet" I've tried disabling Vmnet 1 and 8 and set it to Bridged, did not work. Minimum = 23ms, Maximum = 39ms, Average = 32ms Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),Īpproximate round trip times in milli-seconds: I'm very much wanting to get this to work. Is Vista 64-bit blocking outgoing communication from VMWare Workstation?Īny help will be greatly appreciated. There has to be something I'm missing and it's probably something so simple that I'm overlooking it.Ĭould VMWare Workstation have outgoing network issues in Vista 64-bit? Port forwarding wouldn't fix it since this isn't incoming communication, but outgoing. I know something must be blocking outgoing communications, but I can't figure out what. Sims 2 and Sim City 4 exhibit issues with Vista already, same with Pangya as it crashes at least three times before I can actually get it to run in Vista. So, I'm going to have to resort to VMWare Workstation to play older 3D games. I can't even get VirtualBox to run 3D games without it crashing completely. VMWare Workstation at the very least can do it and do it decently. The XP Mode that's being touted was a huge letdown as it's nothing more than Virtual PC custom tailored for Win7 with no 3D acceleration. My intention is to move towards putting older 3D games in the Guest VM as I switch to Windows 7 as soon as it's released. I can download updates from the server just fine, but trying to connect to the server to actually log on is somehow blocked. Incoming network communication works fine.įor example, I have installed two games in WinXP Pro SP3 Guest- Mabinogi and Pangya. Just as before, I'm having issues with my Guest VM, Windows XP Pro SP3, from doing any outgoing network communication. I've asked this before but couldn't find a resolution to it.
